The Mattoni Karlovy Vary Half Marathon, the centrepiece of the Mattoni Karlovy Vary Running Festival, is a highlight of the RunCzech calendar and gives runners the chance to race through one of Europe's most picturesque spa towns, Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad). On 15 May 2027 the programme features a 10 km at 14:00, the Family Mile (1.6 km) at 16:00, and the half marathon (21.1 km) and half marathon relay at 18:00.

The World Athletics-certified course winds through the heart of Karlovy Vary, passing historic hotels such as the Grandhotel Pupp and the Thermal, and running alongside colonnades and mineral springs listed as UNESCO World Heritage. With 3,800 participants, the race welcomes elite runners and amateurs alike. National dances and local traditions add to the cultural charm, while a festive spirit fills the whole town.
