About

The Marion Arts Festival 5K Run and Half Marathon takes place in Marion, Iowa, in mid-May, with everything starting at 7:30 a.m. The half marathon (13.1 miles), the 5K run and the 5K walk welcome serious racers, casual runners and walkers. Cash prizes, free gifts, raffles, door prizes and finish-area amenities are part of the program.

Participants are invited to enjoy the Marion Arts Festival, a family-friendly community arts event with live music, food vendors and activities such as the Art in the Depot public art program and the Empty Bowl project. The race and the festival combine athletic competition with cultural experiences, so it is easy to make a full day of it with family and friends after you finish.
