About

The Marathon Ipoly takes place in Szob, in Hungary's Pest County, on 20 March 2027, with distances ranging from 8 km up to the full marathon. Runners can choose between the marathon (42.2 km, 160 m of elevation gain), the half marathon (21.1 km, 80 m), a 15 km road race and an 8 km road race, and a dedicated race for children and juniors makes it a family occasion.

The course runs through natural surroundings dotted with lakes and ponds, not far from the Danube. This range of distances makes the event accessible to casual runners and experienced marathoners alike, in a peaceful setting along the River Ipoly, which gives the race its name.
