The Tucson Marathon takes runners through Arizona's Sonoran Desert, passing near Biosphere 2 and running along the Santa Catalina Mountains. Winter conditions are mild, with temperatures ranging from about 41°F at the start to 64°F by the finish.

Beyond the full marathon (26.2 miles), runners can also choose the half marathon (13.1 miles) or take part as a team in the marathon relay.
