The Tromptown Marathon takes place in DeRuyter, in New York's Madison County, with three distance options: a 5K (3.1 miles), a half marathon (13.1 miles), and the full marathon (26.2 miles). The surrounding countryside is dotted with lakes and ponds popular for fishing, along with cultural stops like the Madison County Historical Society.
