About

The New York City Marathon (TCS New York City Marathon) winds through all five boroughs of the city. It's one of the World Marathon Majors, alongside the marathons in Tokyo, Boston, Chicago, Berlin, and London, and draws tens of thousands of runners from around the world each year.

The race starts near the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, crosses the Queensboro Bridge into Manhattan around the 16-mile mark, then heads down Fifth Avenue before finishing in Central Park. The day after the race, results are published in the New York Times.
