About

The Manila Madness 5K Freedom Run/Ruck in Raritan, New Jersey, honors Gunnery Sergeant John Basilone and the sacrifices of the nation's heroes. On September 18, 2027, at 9 a.m., it offers a USATF-certified 5K for all ability levels, a chance to push yourself and pay tribute to Basilone's indomitable spirit.

Participants can also take on a 5K ruck inspired by Basilone's combat load, simulating the weight carried in battle. The event invites runners, ruckers and supporters to remember a Marine Corps legend and carry on his legacy through tests of endurance.
