About

Run Mahomet is held each year in Mahomet for the benefit of the Mahomet Area Youth Club, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering local young people through educational and enrichment programs. On July 31, 2027, the half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km), the 10K (6.2 miles) and the 5K (3.1 miles) all start at 7:00 a.m.

The event offers timed in-person divisions as well as a virtual format for remote runners, so athletes of every level can take part. Runners compete for awards in various age groups, with results posted both on site and online, and bibs can be picked up before race day. All profits go directly to youth programs and initiatives that encourage learning, leadership and personal growth in the Mahomet community.
