About

The Allerton Races take place in Monticello, Illinois, over a weekend in early April, at Allerton Park. The races were created to showcase the park as a first-rate place to run and to support Make-A-Wish Illinois, and the trail and facility improvements made over the years have made it a favorite with runners and hikers. On Saturday evening the Trail-Glo 5K (3.1 miles) starts at 8:30 PM, and on Sunday morning the half marathon (13.1 miles) and 10K (6.2 miles) both start at 9:00 AM. Expect unique finisher medals, illuminated statues and live music around the grounds, with Wish families joining the celebration.
