Mad Maple Trail Races @ Hueston Woods runs over two days at Hueston Woods State Park, from College Corner, Ohio, on October 24-25, 2026. Every event starts at 10 a.m. Saturday holds The Mad Maple 50K (31 miles) along with the half marathon (13.1 miles), the 10K and the 5K; Sunday repeats the half marathon, the 10K and the 5K for anyone who wants a second day of racing or a shorter follow-up to Saturday's long effort.

These are trail races, so pace targets from the road do not transfer. The 50K is the centerpiece and asks for a 16 week build with a weekly long run on similar footing, plus practice eating and drinking on the move. If you are new to trails, the Sunday 10K or 5K is a low-commitment way to learn the surface. Runners doubling up should treat day one as an effort they can walk away from.
