About

The Lake City Running Festival takes place in Plattsburgh, New York, in late May, at Plattsburgh City Beach. The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 8:30 a.m., with the 10K and 5K setting off at 9:00 a.m., and all distances start and finish behind the Crete Center on a scenic route.

The celebration continues after the race with a festival after-party featuring live music, food, drinks, cornhole and raffles. The party is open to the public, with a suggested donation for guests who did not race, so friends and family can join in. Plattsburgh sits on Lake Champlain, where spring breezes can be brisk, so a light layer for the walk to the start is a good idea.
