Košice Peace Marathon

Regarded as the oldest marathon in Europe still being held, the Košice Peace Marathon runs through the historic streets of Košice, Slovakia, on 3 October 2027, with a marathon (42.2 km) and a half marathon (21.1 km).

Three formats are offered: the half marathon, the full marathon and a marathon relay, so runners can choose the effort that suits them. The race passes through the historic city centre, an urban course rich in architectural heritage. A fixture of the Slovak calendar, the marathon owes its reputation both to its long history and to the special atmosphere in the streets of Košice on race day. It remains one of the continent's benchmarks for long-distance road running.
