About

Kean University Breast Cancer Awareness 5K is held in Union Township, New Jersey, on October 25, 2026, with one distance: a 5K over 3.1 miles that starts at 10:00 a.m. and can be run or walked. The course is USATF certified and the race is officially timed by Viper Timing.

A certified course matters if you care about your result, because it means the 3.1 miles are measured and your time will stand up next to other races. Come with a real warm-up, hold back slightly through the first mile, and press from halfway. Pre-registration includes a shirt and breast cancer awareness items, with more available to buy on the day. Medals go to the first finishers and every participant receives a ribbon. Proceeds support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and the morning is built around bringing together people the disease has touched.
