About

The Jacob Butze Memorial 5K takes place in Shaker Heights on June 13, 2027, with a 5K (3.1 miles) run and a 1-mile (1.6 km) fun run/walk, both starting at 9:30 a.m. The race honors Jacob Butze, who died of T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Proceeds fund scholarships for people affected by cancer, and participants can choose between the race options. Special drinks will be served at Craft Collective, in the Van Aken District, in Jacob's memory.
