ITVFD Costume Run & Walk 5K

ITVFD Costume Run & Walk 5K takes place in Independence Township, New Jersey, on October 25, 2026. One distance is scheduled, a 5K of 3.1 miles at the Field of Dreams, starting at 9:00 a.m., and you can run it or walk it. The theme is Halloween and costumes are welcome, whatever your pace.

All ages are invited, which makes this a straightforward first race for a child or a parent who has never pinned on a bib. If you would rather race it, 3.1 miles rewards a few weeks of short, fast repeats far more than extra mileage. The morning is hosted by the Independence Township volunteer firefighters and supports them directly; once the running is done they open the firehouse for truck tours, demonstrations, a chance to meet the local crew, food and drink, and activities for the whole family.
