The It’s a Good Time to RUN on Route 66 5th Annual 5K brings the community of Groom, Texas, together for a 5K (3.1 miles) along Route 66 on July 31, 2027, starting at 7:30 a.m. It is open to walkers and runners alike.

Participants will discover a new course while supporting local initiatives, as half of the proceeds go to the Groom Day fund. The rest is awarded as prize money to the top three finishers, adding a competitive edge to the event.
