The Howl at the Moon 5K, held in the Beaver community in Brighton Township, supports the Beaver Area cross-country program. The 5K run/walk (3.1 miles) starts at 8:30 p.m. on July 31, 2027.

Designed for runners of all ages and abilities, the race combines fitness, community involvement and friendly competition under the evening sky. Those who register early receive a commemorative race T-shirt, and tiered pricing rewards early sign-ups.
