About

The Hood Canal Salmon Run 5K is a 5K (3.1-mile) race in Belfair on flat, unpaved trails along the Union River estuary, held on June 5, 2027.

It supports the mission of the Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group (HCSEG), which covers restoration, education and research focused on connecting people, land and salmon. Funds raised through entries help pay for educational programs such as the Farm Stewards and Explore the Fjord summer camps, which offer active, hands-on learning. Organized by HCSEG (The Salmon Center) and its sponsors, the event goes ahead rain or shine.
