About

The St. Paddy's Day Run Tacoma takes place in Tacoma, Washington, in mid-March, starting in the downtown area. The half marathon (13.1 miles) begins at 8:10 a.m., the 10K (6.2 miles) at 8:40 a.m. and the 5K (3.1 miles) at 9:00 a.m.

Runners follow scenic waterfront routes, including the Ruston Way path and Dune Peninsula Park, and the half marathon offers a view from the Wilson Way bridge. The 10K follows a similar route, while the 5K is a shorter option suited to families. Everyone who finishes receives a themed medal. Tacoma in mid-March is cool and often rainy, and wind off Puget Sound can be noticeable along the waterfront, so a light shell and a hat are useful extras.
