The Hometown Half Marathon & 5K/10K takes place in Indianapolis, Indiana, in mid-May. A half marathon (13.1 miles), a 10K, a 5K, a one-mile run and a Kid's Dash all begin at 7:00 a.m. The event is open to all ages and includes electronic timing, pacers for the half marathon and free race photos.

Participants receive a custom bib, a branded shirt and a finisher medal. Youth pricing is available for the 5K and 10K, and children under ten can join the kids' run, with the option of taking part free of charge without the souvenirs. A virtual option lets runners take part from a distance, and free treats wait at the finish. Indianapolis is largely flat, so the half marathon is a friendly one for a first attempt.
