The Hometown Half Marathon and 5K/10K in Austin, Texas, is a family-oriented race held in late May with options for every age. The half marathon (13.1 miles), 10K, 5K and 1-mile run, along with a kids' dash, all start at 7:00 a.m. Participants receive a custom bib, a designer shirt and a medal, and electronic timing provides live results.

Pace leaders run the half marathon, and free photos and treats wait at the finish. A virtual race is offered for people who cannot come in person, and the 5K and 10K have youth pricing. A 1-mile run and a race for children aged 10 and under complete the lineup. Sign up early to be sure of receiving the event apparel. Central Texas gets hot in late May, so run the half with a plan.
