The Hilton Head Freedom 5K is a 5K run/walk (3.1 miles) at Celebration Park on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, held on May 24, 2027 with the start at 8:00 a.m. Billed as the Celebrate & Support Our Heroes 5K, it honors veterans and supports the Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes.
Participants receive a commemorative tech T-shirt and a finisher's award. The event features food trucks, awards for the best patriotic outfits in individual and family categories, and medals for the top three in each age group.
It encourages the community to rally behind veterans and their families, with a morning dedicated to fitness, remembrance and gratitude toward those who have served.
