The Hegewisch Community Center: Wolf Lake 5k is a 5K (3.1 miles) in Chicago that starts at the Hegewisch Community Center at 9:00 a.m. on May 15, 2027, and follows a scenic course through the William Powers Conservation Area at Wolf Lake. Runners then return to the community center, home to the Hegewisch Farmers Market, and a Kids Run follows at 10:00 a.m.

A First Responders Challenge honors police officers, firefighters and EMTs, with medals for the fastest among them. Every participant receives a commemorative race T-shirt and a goody bag.
