The Heatwave Half Marathon - Kansas City is a family-friendly endurance event in Kansas City on August 1, 2027, offering a half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km), a half marathon relay, a 10K and a 5K, all starting at 7:00 a.m. Races are chip-timed, with live results, awards, free event photos and free ice cream at the finish.

Participants get a personalized bib, a designer T-shirt and a finisher medal. A virtual option is available, as is reduced youth pricing for younger runners. The program also includes an untimed one-mile run and a Kids Dash, which can be entered with special goodies or for free without them.
