About

Heartland Series Day 1 is held on July 10, 2027, in Hicksville, Ohio, as the opening day of a multi-day series. Four distances are offered: the marathon (26.2 mi), the half marathon (13.1 mi), a 10K (6.2 mi) and a 5K (3.1 mi). Start times are not listed in our records.

Multi-day series are built for runners collecting states or consecutive marathons, and they call for a completely different approach from a single target race: run each day at a conversational effort, eat immediately after finishing, and treat the first day as the one where restraint pays off most. If you are running only one day, you will be sharing the course with people pacing for six.
