About

The Empowering Children 5K, 1 Mile, and Beach Clean-Up presented by Heal the Planet takes place in Hollywood on September 19, 2027. This eco-friendly event for the whole family combines a 5K run/walk at 7:30 a.m., a 1-mile run/walk at 8:15 a.m. and a community beach clean-up, all focused on fitness and protecting the environment.

The 5K is chip-timed, with awards for the top finishers in each age group, while the 1-mile event is aimed at younger participants and walkers. The beach clean-up invites everyone to help collect trash along the shoreline. Post-race festivities include kids' activities and music, and participants can earn community service hours.
