Resolution 5K /10K

Resolution 5K /10K is an untimed, all-ages event held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on January 1, 2027. Both distances start at 8:00 a.m., a 10K (6.2 miles) and a 5K (3.1 miles), run along the scenic A1A sidewalk with the Atlantic coast alongside. Every participant receives a shirt from the organizing club and a medal, reduced entry is offered to younger runners, and entry is free for anyone over 75.

Without a clock on the results, the day is about turning up rather than performing, which is a good frame for January 1. The 10K is the more substantial option and rewards anyone who kept a weekly long run through December; the 5K works for a first attempt at the distance, and walking part of it costs you nothing here. An 8:00 a.m. start on the coast means the coolest air of the day, so it is worth being early rather than comfortable.
