About

Harvest Stampede Trail 5K & Fun Run is held in Seligman, Missouri, on October 24, 2026. Two options start together at 8:00 a.m.: a 5K on trail, covering 3.1 miles, and a 1-mile Fun Run. The 5K is the main event and it is run off-road, which is what separates it from the average small-town fall race.

On trail, forget your road splits. Uneven ground, turns and surface changes all cost time, so run the first mile by effort and expect a finish time slower than your road 5K even on a good day. Shoes with some tread help, particularly in late October when fallen leaves hide what is underneath. The 1-mile Fun Run is a good option for children or for anyone who wants to be part of the morning without racing 3.1 miles, and it requires no specific preparation at all.
