Spooktacular 5 K / 10 K

Spooktacular 5K / 10K is held in Pompano Beach, Florida, on October 31, 2026, at Pompano Air Park. Both distances start together at 7:30 a.m.: a 10K over 6.2 miles and a 5K over 3.1 miles, run on an out-and-back course. Runners and walkers are both welcome, costumes are encouraged, and finishers receive a shirt, a medal and a personalized bib.

An out-and-back is the friendliest layout for pacing, because you see exactly how far you have to go the moment you turn around. Run the outbound half a shade slower than target and use the return leg to close the gap. The 10K asks for a few weeks of steady mileage and one longer run; the 5K works as a hard, honest effort you recover from within days. Registration is handled from the Galuppis restaurant parking lot, with early-bird pricing and free entry for participants aged 75 and over.
