About

Halloween Run CHICAGO is held in Chicago, Illinois, on October 25, 2026. Two road distances are on the program, a 5K and a half marathon (13.1 miles), both run on a Halloween theme in the city's urban setting, with the festive atmosphere that comes with that time of year.

The gap between the two options is significant. A 5K can be prepared for in a month, while a half marathon deserves a twelve- to sixteen-week build with a weekly long run climbing toward ten or eleven miles and some running at goal pace. A city half is a reasonable place to chase a personal best, provided you resist the crowd's pace over the opening miles and settle into your own rhythm early.
