Grant Park Turkey Trot 5K & 10K

Grant Park Turkey Trot 5K & 10K takes place on Thanksgiving morning in Chicago, Illinois, on November 26, 2026. You can choose between a 10K Run (6.2 miles) and a 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles), both starting at 9:00 a.m., while a Kids Dash for ages 8 and under goes off at 8:45 a.m. Chip timing is provided, the race is open to all ages and abilities with adult and youth categories, and every participant receives a long-sleeve shirt or fleece pullover plus a commemorative medal. At the finish there are donuts, hot cider and beer for those of age. The event is part of the Run Chicagoland series and takes place in the iconic setting of Grant Park, between the skyline and the Lake Michigan shore.
