About

The Grand Explorers' Trail Race in Jenison showcases the natural beauty of Ottawa County with a 10K (6.2 miles) and a 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk, both starting at 8:30 a.m. on June 19, 2027, plus a 1-Mile Fun Run for Kids at 8 a.m. Organized by the Ottawa County Parks Foundation, the event celebrates the Idema Explorers Trail, which links Grand River Park and Grand Ravines Park.

Participants can enjoy scenic views, including a covered bridge, and may even spot bald eagles. Leashed dogs are allowed on the 5K and 10K, and the kids' fun run uses a separate paved path. The event puts community, nature and friendliness first, offering a chance to reconnect with the outdoors.
