About

The Golden Harvest Half Marathon & 5k/10k - Kansas City takes place in Kansas City, Missouri, on September 26, 2027, with all five events starting at 8 a.m.: a half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km), a 10K (6.2 miles), a 5K (3.1 miles), a 1-mile race and a Kid's Dash for children 10 and under. All races are chip-timed with live results, pacers lead the half marathon, and a T-shirt, medal and refreshments await finishers.

In late September, a chip-timed half marathon is a good way to test a summer of training before switching to a winter build. Lining up behind a pacer slightly slower than one's goal often pays off more than the reverse, since the margin can be spent over the final 3 miles (5 km). The more modest 5K is well suited to a first family outing thanks to youth pricing.
