About

The Golden Gallop brings a 10K (6.2 miles) and a 5K (3.1 miles) to downtown Golden, the lively town where the West lives, on September 19, 2027. Both races start and finish at Golden High School, with the 10K off at 7:45 a.m., the 5K at 8 a.m. and the Kids Fun Run at 10 a.m.

Runners are welcome to bring well-behaved dogs along, and even those who would rather sleep in have an option of their own. Cash prizes await the winners, with extra rewards for anyone who breaks a course record. This annual fundraiser supports the Golden Schools Foundation, which gives $40,000 to local schools every year.
