About

The Depot Days Rail Run 5K, also known as the George Butler Memorial Rail Run, takes place in downtown Newbern, Tennessee, on September 18, 2027, with all events starting at 8 a.m. The competitive 5K (3.1 miles) challenges runners to push their limits alongside fellow running enthusiasts.

Younger runners can test their speed in the Choctaw Mile, designed for sixth graders and younger, or in the Jr. Choctaw Run for second graders and younger. A fitness walk is also offered for those who want to stay active. Participation supports the George Butler Memorial Food Pantry and the well-being of the community.
