The Galena 5k Stair Challenge is a community fitness event in Galena honoring the heroes of 9/11 and local first responders, held on September 11, 2027, starting at 9:15 a.m.
Participants can choose a non-competitive 5K (3.1 miles) fun run/walk or a competitive stair race, professionally timed with results by age and gender. The event encourages creativity with themed outfits and offers refreshments, T-shirts and chances to win prizes through fundraising.
