About

The Fuji Trail Challenge is a trail running event based around Tokyo, Japan, from 3 to 5 September 2027, with trail distances of 50 km, 29 km, 12 km and 6 km. It combines two distinct experiences within a single event.

The first, the Ascension du Mont-Fuji on 3 September, is a free-paced hike up Mount Fuji over about 13 km with roughly 1,500 metres of ascent, rewarding walkers with panoramic views around the summit.

The second is the Hakuba International Trail on 5 September, which offers those four distances to suit all abilities. Pairing a hike on the slopes of Mount Fuji with trail running on the Hakuba courses lets participants discover different sides of Japan's mountain landscapes, from the country's iconic volcano to the trails of the Hakuba area.
