The Float Dodger 5K is a 5K (3.1 miles) in West Seattle, run on July 17, 2027, alongside the West Seattle Summer Parade. Runners head down California Ave SW, cheered on by the crowds, trying to stay ahead of the parade floats. The 5K starts at 9:30 a.m., preceded by a 400-meter (quarter-mile) Kids Dash at 8:45 a.m.

This popular summer event wraps up with root beer floats for participants, and all proceeds go to the West Seattle Food Bank.
