The Electric Cookie Run

The Electric Cookie Run takes place in Seattle, Washington, on December 5, 2026, with both formats starting at 5:00 PM around Green Lake. You can run Two Loops, about 9 km or 5.6 miles, or One Loop, about 4.5 km or 2.8 miles. Participants are encouraged to wear festive outfits covered in lights, and the event is chip-timed and certified, so the results count even though the mood is playful.

Running the lake after dark in December is the whole draw here, and the two-loop option gives you a near-10K effort without the commitment of a full race build. Bring gloves and a layer you can run in for 30 to 60 minutes in the cold, and make sure your lights and reflective gear actually work rather than just look good.
