About

Fire & Ice Festival 5K Walk/Run Somerset PA is held in Somerset, Pennsylvania, on January 16, 2027. There is one format, a 5K walk/run, and it starts at 10:00 AM. The route takes you through the Laurel Highlands, with local history along the way, and the race is part of the wider Fire & Ice Festival held in town.

Afterward, participants are invited to a pancake breakfast put on by the Kiwanis Club, with refreshments from local vendors and nearby restaurants open for anyone staying on. That framing tells you what to expect: this is a community morning rather than a chase for a personal best, and walkers are as welcome as runners. A 10:00 AM start also gives you time to eat, warm up and get moving before the gun, which is worth using in January when your legs need longer than usual to come around.
