About

The Finger Lakes Fifties in Hector, New York, offers three tough trail distances on July 4, 2027: a 50-miler (80.5 km) and a 50K (31.1 miles), both starting at 6:30 a.m., and a 25K (15.5 miles) starting at 8:00 a.m. The races are held in the scenic Finger Lakes National Forest.

All events use a 16.5-mile loop that is mostly singletrack (85%), with sections of grassy pasture (5%), where cows graze and leave their inevitable cow pies, plus stretches of dirt and paved road (10%). The start and finish are at the Potomac Group Campground.

After the race, athletes can look forward to a barbecue, an awards ceremony and a lively community atmosphere at the finish, with on-site camping available to make the most of the race weekend.
