About

The Gorges Ithaca Half Marathon takes place in Ithaca, New York, in early June, and offers a scenic point-to-point course that starts at Trumansburg High School and finishes at Cass Park. The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 7:30 a.m. and includes a stretch through Taughannock Falls State Park and along the Black Diamond Trail.

Runners have five aid stations, a takeaway meal after the race provided by Fittnell Farms Catering, a medal and a bottle. The event also gives participants a way to support local high school teams, parks and fire departments, and its start and finish areas are easy to reach. The Finger Lakes region is hilly, so expect some rolling terrain and variable weather in June.
