About

The Fair on the Square Half Marathon & 5K takes place in Danville, in Hendricks County, Indiana, not far from Indianapolis, and is presented by Hendricks Regional Health. On September 11, 2027, the half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km) starts at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk at 8:15 a.m., with the start and finish on the Danville courthouse square.

Three formats are on offer: the 5K, a 1-mile walk and the half marathon, considered one of the most scenic courses in the Indianapolis metro area. The route runs through green countryside, with chip timing for accurate results and awards by age group and overall. After the finish, runners enjoy the festive atmosphere of the Fair on the Square festival, which traditionally accompanies the race.
