F.I.T. Winter Extravaganza

F.I.T. Winter Extravaganza takes place in Davie, Florida, on April 25, 2027, in a public park. Three timed options are on the schedule: a 5K (3.1 miles) as the gentler introduction, a 10K (6.2 miles) for a more demanding effort, and the same 10K run as a relay so a team can share the distance. Races for children and juniors complete the program.

Park settings tend to mean open, uncomplicated running, and that is what makes this one work as a family morning as much as a competitive one. The relay is the interesting choice if you are not ready to take on 6.2 miles alone. For the individual 10K, six weeks of regular running with one weekly tempo session and a long run of an hour will do; south Florida humidity in late April argues for a conservative first mile.
