About

The Etowah River Park Summer Classic - 5k/10k in Canton is a family-friendly event with a 5K (3.1 miles) and a 10K (6.2 miles) for walkers and runners of all levels. On August 7, 2027, the 5K starts at 7:30 a.m. and the 10K at 8:30 a.m.

Organized by the Cherokee Run Club, the event uses RFID timing, and both the 5K and 10K courses are USATF-certified. Every participant receives a race shirt, and awards go to the top three men and women overall and to the top finishers in each age group, including masters (40 and over) and youth.
