About

The Lucky 5K/10K/Half Marathon in Canton, Georgia, in the Cherokee County area, is held in early March. All races start at 8:30 a.m.: a half marathon (13.1 miles), a 10K (6.2 miles) and a 5K (3.1 miles). The course is flat and suited to runners going after a personal best.

Awards go to the top three men and women overall, to Masters, Grand Masters and Senior Grand Masters, and to the top finishers in each five-year age group. All runners receive a race shirt and a finisher medal. The event stresses a lively atmosphere and camaraderie, with a spirit of competition for families and friends. March mornings in north Georgia can still be chilly, so plan on a warm-up layer you can leave at the start.
