The El Grito 5K Family Run/Walk is a 5K run/walk in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood, organized by New Life Centers on September 12, 2027. The 5K starts at 9:00 a.m., preceded by a Kids Dash at 8:30 a.m.

The event celebrates Mexican culture ahead of the Mexican Independence Day parade. It is open to everyone regardless of fitness level, from seasoned runners to casual walkers. Proceeds support New Life Centers’ youth leadership, mentoring and restorative justice programs, making it a chance to get active while helping empower the community.
