About

The Eastern States 100, based in Cummings Township, is a 100-mile (160.9 km) trail race through Pennsylvania's Pine Creek area, known as the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania, starting at 5 a.m. on August 7, 2027. The demanding course, with about 20,000 feet (6,096 m) of elevation gain, follows the Mid State Trail and the Black Forest Trail on narrow trails and old forest roads, passing communities such as Ramsey and Blackwell.

Wildlife may be spotted along the way. No qualifying race is required, but the difficulty of the course calls for serious preparation.
