East Bay Running Festival

The East Bay Running Festival takes place in East Providence, Rhode Island, in late May, with a half marathon (13.1 miles), a 10K and a 5K, all starting at 8:00 a.m. The event uses electronic chip timing, gives finisher medals to participants who complete a race and finishes with post-race festivities.

Having all three distances start at the same hour means friends and family members can run different races and meet at the finish. Coastal New England weather in late May is changeable, ranging from cool and breezy near the water to warm in the sun, so dress in layers for the start and plan on sun protection if you will be out for a full half marathon.
