About

The Detroit MOTTEP Foundation LIFE Walk & Run, organized in partnership with Gift of Life Michigan, takes place at Rouge Park in Detroit, Michigan, on July 31, 2027. The 10K (6.2 miles) and 5K (3.1 miles) runs start at 8:00 a.m., followed by the 5K walk at 8:30 a.m.

The event brings together the communities involved in organ and tissue transplantation and raises public awareness, particularly within multicultural groups. Since it began in 1997, it has become the largest and longest-running event of its kind in Michigan. It is both a major fundraiser and a way to build compassion and connection among supporters, donors, donor families, recipients and volunteers.
